About Me- Paige Horabik
I am a qualifed Equine Dentist with a Diploma of Equine Dentistry from the reputable Australian Equine Dental Practice (AEDP). I also have a Bachelor of Science - Microbiology from La Trobe University Melbourne and in my early career worked in microbiology laboratories and sales and marketing in the IVD medical device industry. With a life-long passion for horses I decided on a career change to Equine Dentistry.

With a commitment to holistic care, I approach equine dentistry not just as a technical practice, but as an essential aspect of overall equine health and well-being. I believe in looking at the whole picture rather than just addressing dental issues in isolation. By integrating knowledge of equine anatomy, behaviour and nutrition, I aim to enhance the lives of horses through thoughtful, comprehensive dental care.

I am patient and will handle your horse without using unnecessary force or rough handling and I'm happy to take the time your horse requires to relax. I use hand tools only without routine sedation however if your horse requires sedation I can work with a local vet to administer.

In my spare time I enjoy riding my TB gelding, Fred, and spending time on ground work with Fred's Appaloosa pony, Billy.
MY SERVICES FOR YOUR HORSE
A routine, standard treatment consists of a comprehensive dental exam of your horse's oral cavity including teeth, tongue, cheeks, lips, periodontal tissues and an overall assessment of your horse's condition. Appropriate treatment will be provided following assessment on the day unless otherwise discussed. It is important you as the owner understands what treatment has been provided and are aware of any conditions or irregularities in your horse's mouth so you can best care for your horse. This is why I provide a detailed electronic report following my visit for you to keep for your own benefit or to pass on to any potential future owners.

I service SE QLD and Northern NSW including the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Logan, Scenic Rim, Ipswich, Toowoomba and surrounding areas and the Northern Rivers area of NSW. Please get in touch if you are based outside of these areas as I may be able to visit your area especially for a higher number of horses.
